Coming Soon: ‘Dancer’ on the Flatiron South Plaza

The Partnership is pleased to host Dancer, an entwined stainless steel sculpture by Tomokazu Matsuyama, on the Flatiron South Plaza near Broadway and 23rd Street.

Presented by Chicago-based art gallery Kavi Gupta, Matsuyama’s Dancer reflects various colors and shapes, creating an eye-catching landmark in the center of the district.

On view through early November, this public art installation is in collaboration with The Armory Show and NYC Department Of Transportation Arts and Culture.

Historic Dive into the Asser Levy Bathhouse & Pool

As we’ve welcomed the dog days of summer this month, the Partnership takes a deep dive into the history of the Asser Levy bathhouse and swimming pool.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a designated New York City Landmark, the neo-Classical Roman-style site is located at East 23rd Street and Avenue A.

Its architectural collaborators included Arnold W. Brunner and William Martin Aiken, who unveiled their design in 1908.
