  • Flatiron and NoMad’s weekly visit trends distribution curve is flattening as weekend visitation increases

  • In June, the busiest day of the week was Thursday

DSNY – Trash Containerization

The NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is implementing new rules to send rats packing.

Beginning August 1st, food-related businesses must use rigid containers with secure lids when setting out trash for collection (excluding recyclables) one hour before closing OR after 8 pm.

2) Concert Venue — Retail (creative ideas welcome)

  • 80,000 SF – 100,000 SF (40,000 SF floors plates)
  • Ceiling Height: 26’
  • Column-free Depth 35’ and Width 70’ (large cut out from main level up to mezzanine will work)
  • Looking to likely open up/cut out the floor slab above the main floor space as needed to create a mezzanine
  • Basement, Ground, 2nd and 3rd floors preferable given entrance and egress
  • Private loading dock
  • Minimal columns

 

3) Misc. Short Term Retail Lease Flexibility 

  • Brands frequently inquire with requests for ground floor retail spaces that welcomes short term installations (1-4 weeks / 1-3 months / 3-6 months). If you own or represent a space that may be a potential fit, please let us know. We are creating a reference document to share with future brand inquiries and want to ensure your property is considered.
