Celebrating & Honoring Juneteenth

On June 19th we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans in 1865.

In honor of Juneteenth, we’ve compiled a list of ways to celebrate through the support of Black-owned businesses in Flatiron & NoMad, resources and organizations, and notable neighborhood events in Black history.

New Neighbor: NoMad Tea Parlour

Meet NoMad Tea Parlour, the new Asian restaurant offering a modern dim sum experience.

Located at 244 Fifth Avenue, the eatery serves up Cantonese cuisine paired with the old school charm of Chinese-American dining establishments.

NoMad Tea Parlour is open 5 pm – 11:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday.

Your Guide to Pride in Flatiron & NoMad

June is Pride Month, a celebration of the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community and commemoration of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising. On Sunday, June 30th, the NYC Pride March will step off from 25th Street and Fifth Avenue at noon.

Celebrate Pride in Flatiron & NoMad by checking out local experiences, supporting LGBTQ+ owned businesses, and enjoying festive treats.
