Your Guide to Pride in Flatiron & NoMad

June is Pride Month, a celebration of the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community and commemoration of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising. This Sunday, June 30th, the NYC Pride March will step off from 25th Street and Fifth Avenue at noon.

Celebrate Pride in Flatiron & NoMad by checking out local experiences, supporting LGBTQ+ owned businesses, and enjoying festive treats.

Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan: The NYC Department of Planning invites the public to learn more about the MSMX Plan by speaking directly with city planners and using their digital engagement tools to help understand the strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth in Midtown South.

Dining Out NYC: Eligible food establishments are now welcome to apply for New York City’s permanent outdoor dining program, Dining Out NYC. Learn more and apply here.

RFP: 2024 Día de Muertos Public Art Installations: Flatiron NoMad Partnership seeks submissions of existing public art installations to serve as part of the Flatiron NoMad Día de Muertos celebration. The submission deadline is July 26. Learn more here.

Portal Operating Hours: Portal, the groundbreaking public technology art sculpture connecting to Dublin, Ireland on the Flatiron South Plaza is on view with daily operating hours of 8AM – 3PM EST.

Walking Tour Cancelled: The free walking tour this Sunday, June 30th at 11 am has been cancelled. Monthly walking tours will begin on Sunday, July 7th.

  • Street Festival: Saturday, June 29th from 10 am – 7 pm on Sixth Avenue between 23rd and 34th Street.
  • NYC Dyke March: Saturday, June 29th at 5 pm on Fifth Avenue from Bryant Park to Washington Square Park.
  • NYC PRIDE March: Sunday, June 30th at 12 pm on Fifth Avenue and 25th Street.

 

Street Closures:

  • 20th Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue will be closed from
    10 am – 9 pm on Saturday, June 29th – Sunday, June 30th.

 

Con Edison Work Notice:

  • Con Edison will be doing gas upgrade work on Fifth Avenue between 26th and 27th Streets on Saturdays from 8 am – 6 pm and Sundays from 9 am – 6 pm through August 30th.
