Mayor Adams Announces Commitment to Broadway Vision

We’re thrilled to enter the next phase of NYC Department of Transportation (DOT)‘s Broadway Vision program!

Mayor Eric Adams, Congressman Jerry Nadler, NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez, and Flatiron NoMad Partnership President James Mettham shared plans on Sunday, March 12th to transform Broadway into a pedestrian-first corridor in Flatiron & NoMad.

Work begins tonight on two new plaza blocks, five shared street blocks, and two-way bike connections from 25th Street to 32nd Street (Greeley Square).

We look forward to these streetscape improvements enhancing the experiences of all who live, work, and visit Flatiron and NoMad.

Plant-Based Food Fair

Kick off Earth Month with our first-of-its-kind Plant-Based Food Fair on Friday, March 31st – Sunday, April 2nd from 11 am – 3pm! In partnership with Eleven Madison Park, the weekend-long event will take place on the Flatiron North Plaza.

Join the festivities and sample select menu options and products from Flatiron & NoMad plant-based restaurants and businesses. This free public event will also feature family-friendly activities and live jazz music.

DSNY Waste Setout Times Change April 1st

To reduce the time that trash, recycling, and curbside composting sits on sidewalks, the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) will implement the following policies for business waste starting April 1:

  • If using a container with a secure lid, place waste at the curb 1 hour before closing.
  • If putting bags directly on the curb, place waste out after 8:00 PM.

  • Street Closures:
    • West 25th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue will be closed this Saturday, March 18 & Sunday, March 19 from 5 am – 2 pm for crane operations.
  • Film Shoot:
    • There will be small handheld film shoot on the Flatiron North and South Plazas this Sunday, March 19 between 1 – 4 pm. Please be aware of increased activity.
