Rangoli Art Celebration

Join us this Saturday, March 11 from 12 – 4 pm at the Capitol Plaza (48 West 27th Street) for our first ever Rangoli Art Celebration!

This community event will feature Rangoli, an art form originating from India where beautiful patterns are created using organic materials.

The Rangoli represents the happiness, positivity, and liveliness of a household, and is intended to welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and good luck.

DSNY Waste Setout Times Change April 1st

To reduce the time that trash, recycling, and curbside composting will sit on sidewalks, the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) will implement the following policies for businesses starting April 1:

  • If using a container with a secure lid: place waste at the curb 1 hour before closing, or
  • If putting bags directly on the curb: place waste out after 8:00 PM
