LOCAL BUSINESSES: GET INVOLVED IN THE NOMAD JAZZ FESTIVAL!

Local Flatiron & NoMad businesses are invited to participate (for free!) in the NoMad Jazz Festival, a weeklong celebration of music, culture, and community happening August 3–10, 2025. Whether you’d like to host a live jazz performance or offer a special promotion, this is a great opportunity to connect with the community and be part of a dynamic summer event.

Governor Hochul Announces Reforms in FY26 State Budget to Improve the Discovery Process

Last week, Governor Hochul announced essential changes to New York’s Discovery Laws in the FY26 state budget. These reforms build upon Governor Hochul’s investments in proven crime prevention initiatives, while holding perpetrators accountable and safeguarding the right to a fair and speedy trial in New York State.

Long time Flatiron & NoMad business owner Deborah Koenigsberger of Noir et Blanc was present at Governor Hochul’s press conference as a supporter for essential changes to New York’s discovery laws to combat retail theft.

The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) is hosting the NYC Small Business Month Expo on Thursday, May 29th from 9 am – 4 pm at 415 Fifth Avenue.

During the Expo, small business owners of all stages, industries, and boroughs will be able to access free services from 100+ city programs, agencies, and partners. Register here.
