Día de Muertos Week is Here!

Now through Friday, November 1, join us for our Día de Muertos celebration with interactive, family-friendly events throughout Flatiron & NoMad, including:

  • Friday, November 1, 3-7 pm:
    Día de Muertos Celebration at Flatiron North Plaza.
  • Now – Friday, November 1: Outdoor Photo Exhibit: Living Memories: Portraits of Día de Muertos by Fernando Avila Aguilar at Iron23 (29 West 23rd Street).
  • Now – Friday, November 1: Papel Picado Decorations on view at the Flatiron South Plaza and the Capitol Plaza (50 West 27th Street).

National Women’s Small Business Month: Throughout October, LinkNYC is offering free advertising space on their kiosks for women-owned small businesses across the five boroughs. Learn more here.

Plan Ahead for NYC Veterans Day Parade: The NYC Veterans Day Parade will take place on Monday, November 11th at 12:30 pm. Parade route includes Fifth Avenue from 26th Street to 48th Street. Broadway from 25th to 29th Street and the Flatiron North Plaza will be closed for Parade staging and operations.

Neighborhood Activations:

 

Street Closures:

  • East 19th Street between Broadway and Park Avenue South will be closed from 7 am – 7 pm Saturday and Sunday through November 10th for DOT# 9065 at 890 Broadway-vault repairs.
  • West 21st Street between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue will be closed from 6 am – 2 pm Saturday and Sunday through November 10th for window cleaning and painting from boom truck.
