Broadway Vision Completes Latest Phase in the District!

Flatiron NoMad Partnership in collaboration with NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) announced the completion of the latest phase of the city’s transformative redesign of Broadway.

“This extension builds on over a decade of innovation, transforming Broadway into a safer, more vibrant corridor. We are proud to be setting the gold standard for what a ‘New’ New York can be with our NYC DOT and BID partners,” says James Mettham, President of the Flatiron NoMad Partnership.

Register Today: Annual Meeting September 30

Now’s your time to register for the Flatiron NoMad Partnership’s 18th Annual Meeting & Reception on Monday, September 30 at 4:30 pm at the Simons Foundation (160 Fifth Avenue).

Community members are encouraged to join as we dive into the data points and trends of the neighborhood and the work we’re doing at the Flatiron NoMad Partnership.

BID property owners, commercial tenants, businesses, and residents who wish to vote at the meeting must RSVP and register by this Friday, September 20.

In collaboration with the Green Restaurant Association (GRA) and Madison Square Park Conservancy, we’re thrilled to announce NYC’s First Green Dining Destination™ in Flatiron & NoMad!

12 local restaurants have attained the Certified Green Restaurant® certification from GRA. This community of Certified Green Restaurants® champions sustainability and serves as a model for more dining establishments to become green.

Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan: The NYC Department of Planning invites the public to learn more about the MSMX Plan by speaking directly with city planners and using their digital engagement tools to help understand the strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth in Midtown South.

Free Recruitment Services for NYC Businesses: Workforce1 in collaboration with the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) can help businesses find the right candidates efficiently for free. Businesses interested in free recruitment services can submit this online form.

Neighborhood Activations:

  • Open Street: Now through Friday, September 20th from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm on Broadway between 19th Street and 20th Street. Hosted by the Ballet Tech School.
  • Sidewalk Event: Saturday, September 21st from 12 – 6 pm on Fifth Avenue between 20th Street and 21st Street.

 

Street Closures:

  • East 19th Street between Broadway and Park Avenue South will be closed from 7 am – 7 pm Saturday and Sunday through November 10th.
  • East 26th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue will be closed from 6 am – 8 pm Saturday, September 21st and Sunday, September 22nd to facilitate crane operation.
  • West 29th Street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue will be closed from
    7 am – 3 pm Saturday through October 27th to excavate and install conduit for new major service.
