Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan: The NYC Department of Planning invites the public to learn more about the MSMX Plan by speaking directly with city planners and using their digital engagement tools to help understand the strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth in Midtown South.
Free Recruitment Services for NYC Businesses: Workforce1 in collaboration with the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) can help businesses find the right candidates efficiently for free. Businesses interested in free recruitment services can submit this online form.
Storefront Business Survey: The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce is conducting a brief survey to better understand the needs of storefront businesses in Manhattan. The short survey asks 10 simple questions about foot traffic and customer spending. Take the survey here by Monday, October 7th.
Neighborhood Activations:
- Open Street: Now through Friday, September 27th from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm on Broadway between 19th Street and 20th Street. Hosted by the Ballet Tech School.
- The Great Broadway Sweep: Wednesday, September 25th from 10 am – 2 pm on the Flatiron South Plaza.
Street Closures:
- East 26th Street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue will be closed from 6 am – 8 pm Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th to facilitate crane operation.
- West 29th Street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue will be closed from
7 am – 3 pm Saturday through October 27th to excavate and install conduit for new major service.
