230 Fifth Avenue presents Cheryl Rubin: Motilities: Opening Reception
12/10
4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
230 Fifth Avenue presents its new 2nd floor gallery space with a curated exhibition by New York City artist, Cheryl Rubin, known for creating expressions of rhythmic motion in her abstract paintings. Join us for a reception on December 10, 2025 between 4-7 pm to celebrate the exhibition. The reception area is open to the public with limited capacity. The collection will be on display through October 2026 and each painting is available for sale.
Rubin’s MOTILITIES exhibition showcases works from two interrelated series, Saltares and Motilities, both of which resonate with the vibrant energy of jazz music. Rubin’s dynamic abstract works come alive with forms that seem to dance across the canvas, embodying a sense of movement and vitality. Utilizing techniques from abstract expressionism and mono printing, she infuses each painting with a tactile richness emphasizing the materiality of paint.
