Join us for a live recording of the public radio show Person Place Thing with New York Times critic Dwight Garner to celebrate his comic, joyous new memoir The Upstairs Delicatessen.
Doors open at 5:30 pm and the event starts at 6 pm. The show will be recorded live with music from Steph Jenkins, followed by a signing. Seating is first come, first served.
Hosted by Randy Cohen, Person Place Thing is an interview show based on the idea that people are particularly engaging when they speak, not directly about themselves, but about something they care about. Guests talk about one person, one place, and one thing with particular meaning to them. The result: surprising stories from great talkers and thinkers.
Person Place Thing takes place in front of an audience, with live music, at a variety of venues and is then edited for broadcast across a 23-station regional radio network, and a dozen other public radio stations around the country.
