Lead by tour guide Fred Cookinham, this 90-minute journey explores the theaters of the Vaudeville era (1870 – 1920), on Broadway, starting at 23rd Street. Along the way, you’ll discover the history of Tin Pan Alley, the original Madison Square Garden, and the locations where “Casey At The Bat” and “The Pirates of Penzance” premiered, along with many other unique stories from New York City’s musical past.

The tour will meet at 11 AM at the tip of the Flatiron Building on 23rd Street, just east of Fifth Avenue. No reservations or tickets are required. This event is rain or shine.
