Workshop Details
In this workshop, We will learn Moribana which is the basic style of Sogetsu Ikebana.
Using seasonal flowers, Ayako will guide you through the fundamentals of ikebana, including how to use a kenzan and how to create balance and proportion in relation to the vase.
This workshop is beginner-friendly, and no prior experience is required.
All materials are included:

โ Scissors will be provided for use during the workshop

Ayako Shida
Ikebana Artist / Floral Designer
Ayako has been studying Sogetsu Ikebana since 2003 and has over 20 years of experience working with flowers.
She is the founder of SUIRYU, a Brooklyn-based floral design studio and sogetsu ikebana class.
Rooted in the free and contemporary philosophy of Sogetsu Ikebana, her practice includes ikebana classes and workshops, as well as floral design for weddings, events, and commercial spaces.
