Madison Square Park Conservancy x Simons Foundation: Solar Viewing Sessions
NOW – 4/3
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Madison Square Park
Southern Fountain
Have you ever wanted to safely look into the sun? Well now’s your chance!
Join scientists and staff from the Simons Foundation on Wednesdays in the park to take a (safe!) close look at the sun and learn more about the upcoming solar eclipse that will sweep across the nation in April. Stop by the park to chat about anything and everything revolving around the sun and astronomy. Solar telescopes will be set up for park-goers to look through. Weather permitting.
This work is supported by the Simons Foundation and is part of its ‘In the Path of Totality’ initiative. Make sure to add it to your calendar using the button below!
Solar Viewing Sessions will occur every Wednesday from February 7 – April 3 | 12pm – 2pm | Southern Fountain
